Re: Predictions: 2005 Season [Reply to #956]

Well, it looks like there were no predictions of a ChiSox vs. Astros World Series. If anybody did before the season started, then they would've been committed to some insane asylum. This was quite an unusual year with another eight-decade curse coming to an end. If there's anybody out there who made all the correct predictions this season, then I'd like to see your proof. As former Dodger radio guy, Jeff Witcher would say, "Show me your facts!".
As for my picks, the Cardinals, Angels, and Yankees were no-brainers and were the easiest ones to choose for their divisions. Though, I didn't expect the Cards and Yanks to screw up in the playoffs. I thought the ChiSox looked good, but I didn't think they would overpower the Twins down the stretch. Besides the long curse, the White Sox hadn't won their division since '59.
As for the Dodgers, what can I say? I didn't expect all those injuries and a few bonehead moves by Paul DePodesta. A healthy Gagne alone would've won the N.L. West for the Blue Crew.
