Giants Acquire Steve Finley from Angels for Edgardo Alfonso

     This is a trade that is tough to figure out.  These are two former All-Stars who took a big slide last season.  When I said that the Giants needed another power-hitter behind Barry, this is not what I had in mind.  They should have gone for a guy in his prime.  As for the Angels, they didn't need another infielder in the first place.  Their best move would have been to go after a quality starting pitcher.  Finley and Alfonso will never put up All-Star numbers again, so it was a lousy trade by both teams.
