It would probably be wise for the Cubs to sign him to a four-five year contract now, as if they wait til the end of this season, his market price just might get a little higher. I think he is good for near 2005 numbers for the next 3-4 years (2005 was probably his career best year because of the BA and OBP numbers, which I do not think he will repeat).
