Buck O'Neil awaits potential Hall of Fame vote

Buck O'Neil, a Negro League ballplayer, deserves recognition for his ambassadorship to baseball, alone.



Forget even that.



His appearance in Ken Burns' Baseball documentary, alone, should result in his election to the Hall.  His quotes, there, made me feel like James Earl Jones does whenever I watch that "They'll come, Ray" speech in Field of Dreams.



Good luck, Buck!  I am rooting for you.
