The Marlins seem to know young pitching, and if they wanted Verlander, that has to be very encouraging.  He is 23, so he must have pitched in college, and most college pitchers can make a quicker impact than high school kids right away.  And the Tigers seem committed to him, so if he gets off to a rough start this year, they won't give up on him.  It's fun to have someone with so much potential pitching for your team.  He could be winning games and Zumaya closing them out for the next decade!
