Third city mentioned by the Marlins in about a month. They're just trying to get leverage for a new stadium in Miami, but San Antonio/Austin could support a team. Combined the San Antonio/Austin market would be between Denver and St. Louis in size.
For baseball to really succeed in Miami, the Marlins need a stadium with a retractable roof, because the high humidity is not only uncomfortable in the summer, but it also causes lots of rain showers. All new stadiums should have retractable roofs. The technology is there, and you'd never have to worry about rain-outs.
