Re: Tournament rules call for games to be stopped if a team is ahead by 10 runs after 7 innings.  How does that explain the U.S./ So. Africa game being stopped with a 17-0 lead after '5'?  (A special shout-out to Red Sox Chick for pointing this out)

     You're right and thanks for the link, Conor!!!!  Personally, I don't understand why they don't allow the teams to play ball for the full nine innings.  I played in quite a few T-Ball games with lopsided scores like that back in the day (hitting off a Tee is much easier than hitting a curve or fastball thrown at you), but I don't remember any of those games being stopped early.  There's no harm in letting the teams play for a full game.
