Now you have me laughing, Cyn!  When did the Red Sox become everyone's baseball scapegoat, replacing the Yanks?  The easy answer: NEVER.  Even with a World Series win. :)

If, within a three day period during PRESEASON, any team got into TWO brawls, you would hear about it -- even if it was the Devil Rays. :)

It is one thing if it happened versus one team (i.e., bad blood generated between the same two teams)... but these were two different teams.

If I were a diehard Sox fan, I would be worried about the focus of this team.  If I was from Boston (and a fan of the Bruins, also, presumably, I probably would be eating all of this up in a good way).

Either way, time will tell what kind of team Boston is, as we progress.  I suspect that they are pretty darn good, notwithstanding the lack of focus.
