I couldn't agree with you more. Star or not, you have to earn your spot. Barfield will add youth and fire to that line up. He has good wheels too which is what the Padres need. They cannot win by homering in that park. They are going to have to play small ball and steal some bases. Barfield is a pick up I just made in all my leagues. I think he is the one true sleeper (even though I hate that word) that didn't make the fantasy magazines at the beginning of the year. Baseball and San Diego need a reason to watch the Pads again.
