John Patterson, who missed his last start due to a right forearm strain, is placed on the 15-day-D.L.

     Tough break for the Nats, not to mention my fantasy team in baseballmanager.com's BaseballGeeks league.  First, I lose B(F)artolo Colon, then A.J. Burnett, and now Patterson.  It's a good thing I have Chris Carpenter to pick up the slack.  Hopefully, Colon or Burnett will be back within the next week.
