Ok, I have something else, that may contradict what I've been saying. 

Damon seems surprised that fans here (in Boston) would/could forget everything he did while he was here just because he went to the Yankees. It's just another reason why players just don't get it the way fans do. 

I stand by my stance that I wouldn't boo him, but I'm not saying I like the guy too much either. 

I also take solace in knowing that NO fan in NY will ever adore Damon the way ALL the fans in Boston adored him while he was there.
