Ya, Nevin is a .200 hitter, but Hairston's even worse...plus he's been platooning with just about everyone and their cousin at 2B for the cubs. The Cubbies had Hairston, Womack, Walker, and Perez playing 2B. 

Hairston - 17 for 82 with 8 runs, 0 HR, 4 RBI, and 3 SB

Nevin - 38 for 176 with 26 runs, 9 HR, and 31 RBI

This was a great trade for the Cubs, plus I believe Texas is picking up some of Nevin's contract. The question I have why didn't they do this about 2 weeks ago or sooner?
