Padres are expressing interest in Mariners third baseman Adrian Beltre

     After cutting a disappointing Vinny Castilla, San Diego could certainly use Beltre, even though he's overrated IMHO.  But, he's a good second half player and is an improvement over the Pads' current combo, Geoff Blum and Mark Bellhorn.
