The D-Backs sent Shawn Green and a little over $6 million to the Mets for AAA- pitcher Evan McLane

     This trade could help get the Mets back into a Subway World Series with the Yankees, but it's still not good enough to win it.  Green hasn't hit for much power in the past few years, but he's still a consistent hitter with a high average and lots of extra base hits.  He'll become an added bonus in the middle of the Mets lineup with David Wright and Carlos Beltran.  I've never heard of this Evan McLane guy, but he must be really something with the D-Backs so willing to take a gamble on him.
