Boston is trying to deal David Wells to the Dodgers, while the Cards and Padres have shown an active interest in him

     The rumor is that the Sox are interested in Dodger minor league outfield prospect Matt Kemp, who's having a monster hitting summer for the Triple-A Las Vegas 51's.  The Dodgers would be making a bonehead move if they went along with this trade idea.  Boomer Wells is a washed up 43-year old pitcher, who I feel has been overrated ever since the Yankees acquired him almost a decade ago.  Besides, they already have a decent left-handed starter in Mark Hendrickson.
