Gary Sheffield could be activated at some point during the current seven game homestand, which ends Sunday night against Boston

     The question is where will the Yankees put him in their lineup, since Abreu is in his old spot and Hideki is already activated from the D.L.  Though, his bat could sure come in handy off the bench, especially when it's playoff time.
