Nomar Garciaparra and and Jim Thome are named "Comeback Player of The Year" in their respective leagues

     Thome is the obvious choice in the A.L., but there were a few others who deserved notice in the N.L. because of Nomar's injury troubles during the season.  But, he still had a monster comeback season and deserved the award nonetheless.  If Mr. Mia Garciaparra gives the Dodgers another chance and re-signs with them, they could have a legitimate shot at doing something in the playoffs, since the Cards and Pads are older teams.
