Carlos Pena had abdominal surgery three weeks ago, but we are only hearing it now

Uh oh.  He was supposed to play in the WBC for the Dominican.  That is out the window now... the Rays are indicating that Pena will be ready for spring training...



Why does this feel like the Toronto Blue Jays downplaying B.J. Ryan's ailments a few years ago?
