Mike Sweeney is signed to minor-league deal by the M's

Great insurance for Bryan Lahair and Russell Branyan.  Lahair only hit 3 HRs in some 150 ABs, along with a .250 batting avg.



Sweeney has a career .299 average and could get a lot of playing time this coming year, potentially making him a deep sleeper in fantasy.



This will be a position battle to watch in the spring, for sure.
