   Not a bad lineup.  The second best team in their division-- the D-backs-- doesn't come close offensively, though their pitching is slightly better.  If the Dodgers don't win the N.L. West, then it would be another underachieving season for them.

    As for Manny, I think he was holding out to see whether or not another team, particularly the Yankees, would make a higher bid for him, since he finally signed the for same offer made to him a few months ago.
