Papelbon stands by these comments he made concerning Manny---"It just takes one guy to bring an entire team down, and that's exactly what was happening," Papelbon told the magazine. "Once we saw that, we weren't afraid to get rid of him. ... He had to go. It [stunk], but that was the only scenario that was going to work. That was it for us."

   Of course, Manny can occasionally be a distraction with his antics, but you can't deny the assets he brings to any ballclub.  Without Manny, the Dodgers would've never made it to the postseason in '08.
