Using Nick Evans to explain MLB option rules

Ranking right up there with the balk rule, one of the least understood rules in baseball are those pertaining to player options. Each year the option rules determine the fate of many players. Here I discuss the factors that determine when a player has to be added to the 40-man roster and when he burns an option.
