He settled down after a visit from Leyland and made it out of the first with only a single run of damage. He stayed in the game long enough to benefit from an offense outburst and get his fourth victory. Minor allowed three runs in just over five innings. The bullpen combination of Roman Colon, Jamie Walker, Fernando Rodney and Jason Grilli held Houston to one run the rest of the way as former Tiger Eric Munson hit a home run off of Walker. Detroit jumped all over Wandy Rodriguez for five runs in the third. He left the game with two outs in the seventh, but surrendered seven runs by that point. Inge started the scoring in the third doubling in Shelton who had singled. Granderson brought home Inge with a single and he and Polanco scored on a double by Pudge. Maggs added the fifth run of the inning on a sac fly. Inge doubled in the fourth and once again scored on a Granderson single. Pudge homered in the seventh inning to give Detroit a 7-4 lead. The Tigers broke it open further in the bottom of the eighth with three runs. Thames and Monroe drove in runs and Granderson picked up his third RBI of the game on a ground out. Detroit is looking for another five game win streak as Nate Robertson battles Rogers Clemens in what promises to be a sellout at Copa. *** OEs 3 Stars of the Game *** #3 Zach Minor – Win (4), 5.1 IP, 10 Hs, 3 Rs, 2 BBs, 5 Ks, 2.59 ERA #2 Curtis Granderson – 2-5 with a run scored and 3 RBI #1 Ivan Rodriguez – 3-5 with 2 runs, a HR and 3 RBI &img-http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/images/2006/06/26/iiCSJg2l.jpg-img& On Tap – Game 78 (52-25) v.
