Lima time?

I have seen quite a few messages in the baseball blogosphere that have put doen Depodesta and his decision to let Beltre AND Lima go.

I am one who doesn't mind either of them leaving... especially Lima.

And, to those naysayers, let me present Jose Lima's first outing details from yesterday's Royals' loss:

J Lima: 2 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 1 K

I attended Lima's amazing performance in the playoffs last year.  It was an amazing site to see.  It also was a nice swan song to a mediocre career.

Sure, this is a spring game... but were this an outing for the Dodgers, tell me you wouldn't be concerned.
