Your commentary seems a little harsh here. I think Lima's got some good years left in him, and his first Spring Training outing doesn't concern me much. I think the Dodgers will miss his spark quite a bit -- however, I think that the team is fine in terms of strong arms, so it isn't a huge loss from that standpoint (assuming Penny stays healthy). 

As for Beltre, I think both he and the Dodgers handled his situation poorly. But I don't think he's going to have another year like he had last year. Seattle got a good deal, but the Dodgers probably didn't slide much with that. 

Given the choice, I'd probably have given up Beltre before Lima.
