they should do the All-Star voting similar to how the NFL does the Pro Bowl voting. You have the fans vote, and their vote counts for 1/3. The players and managers also vote and their votes also count for 1/3 each. 80% of them will probably be the same anyway like Pujols, A-Rod, Jeter, etc., but this way if you have the dopey fans stuffing the ballot box for guys like Johnny Damon and Craig Biggio just because they're "hometown guys," it would get trumped by the 2/3 vote from the players and managers, and we'd get guys like Alex Rios and Chase Utley who deserve to be in there instead.
