The media deep down really hates them, but they'll never admit it. This is because they are a bunch of Yankee butt boys(meaning the NY Yankees). You have to admit that it has been amazing what the Braves have done over this 14 year run of theirs. I was more entertained watching the Braves back in the 90's though than I have been the past 4 or 5 seasons. Say what you will about Sherholz, but he has done an excellent job with that franchise. They don't have or generate the money they use to because Ted Turner no longer owns them. They were more fun to watch when they had players like Gant, Justice, McGriff, Blauser, Nixon, Sanders, Bream, Lemke, Pendleton, Lonnie Smith, Grissom, etc. Now, even though I still like them, they are not as exciting to watch. I think the Braves have finally hit the wall for all you Braves' haters out there. They WILL NOT WIN THE DIVISION THIS YEAR! I know they have only won that one World Championship in 1995, but part of that was because they have had to go up against the Yankees in the World Series a couple of times. I know they also lost to the Blue Jays & Twins. That Twins/Braves World Series might have been the best World Series ever. Like your Pirates, when they were just as deserving of that NL title in 92, the Braves were just as deserving of that WS against the Twins. One or two plays in each one of those series was all the difference. The team I truly hate is the NY Yankees. I have been on many rants & tirades about them. It is not because they have beaten the Braves in those World Series meetings. It is because that the media & a ton of other people think they are God's gift to baseball. They are the best team money can buy every year & that is the only & I MEAN ONLY, reason they win World Series titles. If they had a payroll like any Joe Blow average mlb team, Steinbrenner would be in a insane asylum. Steinbrenner DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO WIN WITHOUT MONEY & HIS BOTTOMLESS CHECKBOOK! My blood boils when I talk about the Yankees & my out right, unbridled, utter hatred for them. The media always pumps the Yankees up the ass like they are actually doing something good when they win games. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! How could they not with all that money they have? In fact, if they don't win games & win the World Series, they should be considered total failures. Why is it the media thinks the Yankees are so damn special when they only do what they are suppost to do with all that money? Give the Yankees the Devil Rays salary cap & let's see what old George does then? Then we'll see if the Yankees are so damn special! If the media talked about all of the other major league teams like they do the Yankees, maybe all the other teams would become more recognized & popular so they could generate money & riches for their franchises. The media WILL NEVER ALLOW THE YANKEES TO BECOME SECOND TO ANYONE! I THINK THIS IS BECAUSE ALL OF THE MALE MEMBERS OF THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA HAVE YANKEE TATOOS ON THEIR PECKERS. With the media, it is always the Yankees, maybe the Red Sox or Mets on occassion, then everbody else(who are just foot notes). Maybe this is because the media has an extreme northeast bias. It makes me want to vomit! All of the female media members probably have a tatoo of ARod on one of their buttcheeks & Derek Jeter on the other. I could go on & on with this subject, as I have done in the past. Any of you who care should read my posts under the Yankees section of this website. I think you would be entertained & truly get an appreciation of just how much I HATE THE YANKEES! A few people on this website already know how much I hate them.
