Well you raise some points in your bashing of Bobby Crosby with respect to his batting Avg and OBP, valid points I concede. But lets take a look at the #'s before condemning the former RYO. Its true he hit a combined 227/288 BA and OBP the last few years. But if you look closely you see he also had a 262 BABIP. Now I am not a Sabermatrician, but thats a bit low. Probably half from injury, probably half from simply being unlucky but I'd say there was a fair amount of upside, especially for a SS who, as you so eloquently pointed out, can go around 20/20 in the counting stats. Keep in mind of course that despite his terribly injury plagued 2007 which he admitted his patience suffered, he had excelent BB rates through the minors and even through 2006, so the OBP is legit, unlike our friend Mr.Greene. To turn our attention to Rocko: it should be noted that you are quite correct that he was not diagnosed with his mitochondiral disorder until after the draft. That said he had been diagnosed with missing 385 games since 2004. A man that at his very best had a 339 OBP and a BB rate of 6%. From an outfielder surely you can do better in an OBP league, I would hope. Anyway I am realizing through this whole thing I haven't gotten to make any funny funny jokes like you. Hey I got one! Me: Knock! Knock! You: Who's there? Me: You drafted Khalil Greene too (money league) didn't you? You: Yeah, Yeah I did... sigh [aavenoso from sarasota/FL] Replies: 353
