This is a difficult question to help you with without knowing what your team needs are.  I'm guessing based upon these players that power is what you need, and I'm guessing that there must be better options on the waiver wires.

Stairs was actually fantasy gold in the limited amount of time that he played last year.  Were I choosing between these two players, Stairs gets the nod.

But, again, I'm betting something better is out there.
