Steinbrenner may be smiling now, but he won't be if the Yankees don't live up to expectations. New York fans tend to be very fickle, so imagine if Kevin Brown goes through his usual injury-prone first half and A-Rod and Sheffield are hitting less than .250 at the All-Star break. Under those kind of circumstances, New Yorkers may jump right back on the Mets bandwagon.

You can't realistically believe that the Yankees are going to stink this year, offensively.Personally, I almost think that the Yanks could have the Tigers' pitching staff, and they would still make the playoffs.I have a feeling that the 2004 Yanks are going to be breaking some scoring records.
