I disagree with the gist of this article. With the money involved some of these kids are forced into trying to do more. The same as Gaylord Perry putting vaseline on his balls and Sammy putting cork in his bat. They are going to do anything they can get away with to grab an edge. I think that the fact that baseball doesn't do more to prevent the use of steroids is a shame. It is deplorable.
