I take back the "slap in the face" comment I made concerning this topic when it was reported that the Nats offered Sammy $500K. Actually, $1 Million sounds more reasonable when you consider the fact that Sosa is at the sunset of his career. According to Nats GM Jim Bowden, Sammy was more concerned more about whether he wants to play rather than the money.
