Draftees disappearing

Only three of the Tigers' past 10 first-round draft picks remain in the organization. Four of the 10 have played in the majors, and none of those four is on the current roster.

Who's left: CF Cameron Maybin (2005); RHP Justin Verlander (2004); RHP Kyle Sleeth (2003).

Who's gone: SS Scott Moore (2002); RHP Kenny Baugh (2001); RHP Matt Wheatland (2000); C Eric Munson (1999); RHP Jeff Weaver (1998); RHP Matt Anderson (1997); RHP Seth Greisinger (1996).

For Angel's fans this does not bode well for the company that Jeff Weaver keeps. For us Tiger's fans...this is old news.

Drew is right in this article that having top prospects at this point means nothing to the Tigers until some of them start to pan out.
