It wasn't so much Rueter's 4.27 career ERA that made him the winningest lefty in S.F. history. I believe it had more to do with playing alongside Barry Bonds for ten seasons, with 4-5 of them being juiced up. But, to be fair, pitching at 3-Com Park with their wind conditions isn't always easy.
