1. Justin Verlander stays in the starting rotation and wins 15 games as a rookie.

2. Joel Zumaya joins the starting rotation, full time, in June, making it possible for the Tigers to trade a starter at the July non-waiver deadline.

3. Curtis Granderson plays 140 games in center field and puts up solid numbers: .275 batting average, 20 home runs.

4. Tigers trade Pudge Rodriguez at the July deadline.

5. The Tigers' pitching surprises on the plus side, surpassing the offense and tepid fielding to become the team's strong suit.

*** If only the Tigers could trade Pudge for some value...I don't think they will be able to, but I think that could help them for the future. ***
