Message #4038 of 6634  *NEW* To :   All From :   Jaydawg   Subject :   The NFL's Arizona Cardinals sacked an idea to call their home field 'Pink Taco Stadium' after a Scottsdale restaurant Date :   8/22/06, 7:45pm I know this is off the baseball topic, but this is a classic example in all of sports of how corporations and franchisees are hopping on the bandwagon of the most ridiculous advertising I've ever seen. The Arizona Cardinals made a wise choice in sacking this idea, even though the owner of this restaurant--who happens to be the son of the Hard Rock Cafe founder-- offered $30 million for naming rights of the stadium.
