I'm not a fan of the Steinbrenner-Era Yankees, but I actually feel bad for A-Rod. The Bronx fans have been tough on him from the very beginning and expect him to be perfect at all times. It's sort of reminicent of how Philly fans treated Mike Schmidt during his prime. A-Rod is a key factor for the Yankees pennant wins for the last five years in a row, but he can't carry the team in the playoffs on his own. All the pressure has taken its toll and could explain why A-Rod has choked in the playoffs for the last few years. Besides, if Georgie would've made a few moves for better starting pitching down the stretch, it might have made a world of difference in the playoffs. A-Rod is already a living legend and would be welcomed with open arms on any other team. The Dodgers could sure use him and would move him back to shortstop, his natural position.
