Excellent move by Detroit. The Tigers offense seemed overpowered by the Cards in the W.S., so this should help their team in '08 as long as Sheff is healthy and gets in at least 400-at-bats. I imagine he'll be filling in at D.H. much of the time. I don't think Sheffield will have problems in Detroit since he's going to play for his former manager, Jim Leyland, who he has a lot of respect for and vice versa.
