Re: Gentlemen (and women): start your baseball blogs!
(By: attacksquad)

Congrads to you who put together and built baseballgeeks to what it is. It's actually where I get my non fantasy baseball news. I also enjoy an open forum to rant about whatever baseball issue or incident. I also want to say that I don't expect my honest, non politically correct views to be put on. That won't keep my from blogging here though. I bet Red sox Chic makes headlines first.

Re: Says Moises Alou: The reason pitchers are not pitching to Bonds is because they don't want Bonds to break Hank Aaron's record
(By: attacksquad)

Good stuff. Alou has to back up his boy. I thought pitchers were beaning Bonds for not wanting him to break the homerun record. He's been walked for years and Alou is not his old self, but rather just an old self (39 y/o ?). Plus, who wants to be the answer to the trivia question, "What scrub pitcher did Barry Steroid Bonds hit his record breaking (with an asteric on the card) homerun off of?"

Re: Gametalk Damon's return to Boston
(By: attacksquad)

I agree with Stehpen A Smith on Monday's "Quite Frankly". Those of you who booed are "class less" and props to those of you who cheered. He did after all, help you get rid of the curse and it would not have happended without him. Get over it. What are you complaining about? Way to be Stephen A.

Re: On HBO's 'Costas Now', to air on Tues. 5/2, Bob Costas asks Willie Mays if he might have tried steroids if they were available during his playing days. Says Mays, 'I probably would've been right there.'
(By: attacksquad)

I agree with the previous post. Willie Mays, with steroids of his era or what they would have been, would have easliy died. The science of today's performance enhancing drugs is amazing to say the least and those who issue it know their stuff. Back then all the obvious steroid stereotypes would have shown Mays become the Hulk.

The bet is on: who thinks Maddux can go 5-0 and continue his pitching mastery?
(By: Reedster)

Not me. Glavine finally got shellacked, as did Josh Beckett. He IS going against the Brewers, though, and as we said in our podcast, the Brew Crew likes to strikeout (thanks, Tony).

Maddux has a .99 ERA right now, which is downright ridiculous. I say he goes 6, allows 4, strikes out 3... and the Cubs lose 7-3.
