April 25, 2006 dont walk bonds (By: mets fan 007) So last night the Mets played the Giants and they lost 6-2. The Mets have now lost 17 out of their last 21 games to the Giants and they have lost 7 out of their last 5 games. Carlos Beltran didn't play again. I was mad at the Mets last night. I didn't think they would be like every other team and walk Bonds. But they did. And it hurt them. In the first inning there was a runner on first and they walked Bonds. Then Moises Alou came up to bat with runners on 1st and 2nd and hit a 3 run bomb. Zambrano(1-2 with a 9.64 ERA) gave up a solo homer in the 1st inning and a grand slam in the 4th inning. He is just unwatchable. I realize the Mets are trying to get something out of that Kazimere trade but come on. The mets did score 4 runs in the 6th but that was it. Endy Chavez playing for the injured Carlos Beltran had a 2 run single and David Wright had an RBI single. Tommorow the Mets take on the the Giants in San Fransico at 10:05. The mets won 8-1, pedro pitched 7 innings (2 hits, 11 strike outs)n and pike piazza hit a homerun for the padres only run. Xavier Nady hit a homerun and Carlos Delgado hit a homerun. And it was especially good that pedro went 7 because 2 nights ago the Mets played a 14 inning game and everyone in the mets bullpen pitched except Jorje Julio and he was able to finish off last nights game.
