August 17, 2006 Injury update (By: chris kuhlmann) Francisco Liriano: The Twins medical staff held him back from throwing on Tuesday until he sees the doctor on Sunday. Not a good sign. His shoulder and forearm are likely feeling better because of the rest; but the real test is the elbow. If he is cleared to begin throwing, his elbow may or may not be sore again; and if it is the Twins may shut him down for the year. With his history of arm issues, innings pitched and shoulder/elbow and forearm issues, don't be surprized if he is done for the season.
