Comments on: Introducing the "NIX" tool...
by: Rob Reed | January 23, 2009, 10:40am

I am excited to announce that I have added a "NIX" tool that allows you to remove a player from the rankings if: (1) you don't want to include that player in your consideration; or (2) on the fly, during a live draft, you want to remove a player from consideration when that player is "off the board."

This feature was solely designed as a personal wish.

My main, personal issue with PLAYERtrack was the fact that I couldn't remove players from the rankings, on the fly, while drafting, which led to wasted time glancing through rankings that included players that were already on other teams.

So, I am *VERY* excited to try this out for myself during my drafts this year, and I will be doing a number of mock drafts to practice and get the bugs (if any) out.

I have already tested it, and I think it is error-free.

If you find a problem, please let me know.

One issue that I think that I have which I will likely remedy is the fact that when you exclude a player from the rankings, you are then sent to the default hitters ranking page. I think it would be best to go back to the exact rankings page that you were on (i.e., if you were reviewing 1Bs with a minimum of 500 ABs, then you should be sent back to that page).

I'll try and work on that by February.

Please let me know what you think of this tool, and how -- if at all -- it can be improved.
