     According to Newsday, Mike Piazza and his agent Dan Lozano, have been in talks with the Yankee front office.  They want him as a DH.  I don't understand why Piazza would want to play in the Bronx in the first place.  The DH position is already occupied by Bernie Williams and Andy Phillips, so there would be very little playing time.  A desire to win a ring may be a factor for Mike, but the Yankees haven't won one since 2000 and they still pay megabucks for superstars and average players alike during the offseason.  For Piazza, taking an offer from the Blue Jays or Angels would be in his best interest.
