Did you know??  Since expansion in 1969, no division winner has had fewer than 170 wins in back-to-back seasons, suggesting that the N.L. West for '06 must have at least 88 wins, unless they want this shameful record

     This is not surprising since the N.L. West winning Padres went 82-80 last season.  But, with the major improvements in L.A. during the offseason, they should win at least 90 games in '06.  If the don't, then it's a disappointing season.  The Giants could win 88 games as long as Barry stays healthy.
