Annibal Sanchez's no-hitter on Wednesday caused a celebration in South Florida and indegestion in Boston, where the Red Sox front office is getting killed for trades that cost the team Sanchez, reliever Cla Meredith (25 straight scoreless appearances for S.D.), second baseman Freddy Sanchez (.344 for Pittsburgh), shortstop Hanley Ramirez (.283 for Fla.), and catcher Josh Bard (.319 for S.D.)

     This could very well be a reason why the ship is sinking in Beantown.  Hopefully, they have some good prospects left in their farm system.  If they don't, then they'll once again take a backseat to the Yankees for many years to come.
