Let me tell you Scott's story. Scott graduated from Harvard with degrees in Computer Science and Applied Math and went on to work as an insurance actuary for 17 years. In 2004, however, Scott made a career change. He moved from his swanky digs in the Upper East Side to a small apartment in Harlem, which would be the headquarters of his new business, and reinvented himself as The Sherpa, providing customized, data-driven advice for fantasy baseball players. Scott developed new algorithms for crunching numbers related to player stats by combining his innate mathematical ability with his encyclopedic understanding of baseball. In addition to tweaking traditional predictions methods, Scott has figured out a revolutionary way to quantify Position Scarcity – an elusive but important factor in fantasy baseball predictions. The Sherpa is an offbeat character with a great sense of humor, as you may have guess from his unusual career path. He is a favorite radio guest on CSRA Sportshour (WGUS-AM) and The Sporting Life (Healthylife.net). Scott's recently-updated In-Season Player Predictions are now available on his web site. If you are interested, he will send you a password so you can view them for free. I have added more information about him at the end of this email, and you can also read more of his predictions at his blog, http://fantasybaseballsherpa.com/blog/. Let me know if you would like to talk to Scott on your podcast and we can arrange it at your convenience.
