Patterson was once considered the future of the Cubbies only a few years ago.  So much for that.

As for the Orioles making this move, can you say "trying to make Miguel Tejada happy?"

I like Patterson, though, and I do think he is due for a consistently solid full season, offensively.  For Tejada's sake and Orioles' fans' sake, I'll hope that it is this year.
