Enough dreaming about an Eli Broad/Peter O'Malley ownership. Murdoch and Selig are getting their way.

I'm going to sit back and breathe for a second. McCourt plans an afternoon news conference to basically state his case to Los Angeles, and I'm willing to give him a chance to explain himself.
Here's what I want to hear to end my refugee status:
- "I will never tear down Dodger Stadium."
- "We are committed to winning and will do everything to develop a World Series team"
- "We will continue to have a large market payroll."
- "We need to tap into the tradition and history of the Dodgers" (at this point, McCourt invite Kolfax back to the Dodger family)

Others, though not entirely necessary...
- "If Gagne wants $8 million, he can have it"
- "Let me introduce our new General Manager, Billy Beane.
- "Let me introduce our new peanut vendor, Dan Evans."
- "Let me introduce our new manager, Mickey Hatcher."

I'm inclined to believe baseball and Selig has kept his lips closed, but I'm also inclined to believe that McCourt's press conference will determine what the fans can expect. 

No matter the outcome, positive news can only be positive for the future. With the lack of offseason moves, this team is worse that before and while it didn't seem possible that the hitting could go any further down, it looks like it just might.
On the other hand,I do like the pickup of Jose Lima. He mostly fellon hard times because he ended up in hitters parks like Minute Maid/Enron whatever you want to call that train station Houston plays in. I could see Dodger Stadium rejuvenating him.
That is, unless Dodgers Stadium is torn down for Staples Field.
