This is RIDICULOUS.  If you saw the replay, the pitching snafu was clearly as a result of a last second time out called by the ump.

I understand why the ump called time because Beckett was taking some major time looking over to second rather than throwing the ball.

It looked like Beckett tried to hold up, but couldn't... and then the pitch that sailed near Abreu's head.

Must have been something that Beckett did afterwards, and I didn't see that... but if it was just for the pitch, this is ridiculous.
