He was involved in the Byung-Hung Kim trade... was sent to the Red Sox, who promptly dumped him on his ass.

I think he still has something left in the tank.  He certainly would make a better backup to the Dodgers' Jason Phillips instead of Paul Bako.

If Phillips looks like the 2004 version (rather than v. 2003), Johnson might actually be a better option.
